Halloween Theme
Because of our proximity to Halloween, we have decided to have a Halloween theme to our event. This will not change the fact that, as always, our book fair is aimed primarily at indie authors, giving them a chance to show off thier talents. As part of the indie community, we are also equally pleased to welcome our artists, illustrators, and comic book friends.
We are pleased to welcoming back Dot Cannon and Two Maverix Multimedia™. Dot will be performing live panels at the event. Seating will be available for attendees to watch and participate first-hand. Each panel will have it's own subject, such as "How to tell a scary story" and "How to construct your own costume".
We will be hosting hourly children's costume contests. There will also be a one-time Cosplay costume contest, the time of which is still to be set. We are pleased to welcome Nerd Mafia to our family. They will be judging our costume contests.
We are also pleased to announce that there will be a cast reunion for the movie "Night of the Demons" (1988). So far we have Amelia Kinkade (Angela), Cathy Podewell (Judy), Kevin Tenney (Director) and Devon Whitehead (Soundtrack Movie Artist).

Keep coming back to see more details and watch our list of authors and artists grow as we get closer to the event.

Authors & Artists

Geo Brawn IV

Born in the City of Angels (and Demons), California in 1975, Geo (even at an early age), discovered his need for creating art. Graduating from West Covina High School with a scholarship in illustration, he attended the Pasadena Art Center of Design, even further developing his style in the craft. Then following, Geo studied graphic art in Long Beach. He began developing ways on just how to bring his ideas and stories into a particular medium. Ways to bring his creations to life.

In 2002, Geo found that medium in one of his first artistic loves, comic books. Starting with his first character and from there, the formation of an entire universe of characters had begun. The stories and creations Geo had were now forming in this perfect art form.

Now Geo has collected a series of those stories in comic book form. With his passion for horror and fantasy, the stories he can and will tell are unbound as indy-comic books and graphic novels done his way.

Russell Nohelty - Wannabe Press

Publisher Russell Nohelty founded Wannabe Press in 2014 after he got sick of the publishing bureaucracy.

We don't care about format. We publish kid's books, comics, graphic novels, board games, novels, you name it. While most other publishing companies focus on marketing a specific kind of book (novels, comics, etc), we focus on marketing to a type of person. The type of person that sees the big load of bull crap inherent in the system and can still laugh about it, go to work, and get stuff done.

Frank Webb

It all started with a love of sci-fi and no desire to have a 'real ' job. Your imagination takes you to so many places as it did mine. From being a mad scientist to surfing on comets, he knew he didn't want to do anything normal in life. However, life shows you that sometimes you have to do the normal to survive the world. Writing in my head helped deal with the normal, mostly because often it was pretty awful or just plan boring. Eventually, I put that writing onto paper and my first book cane into being.

Crosses & Silver Bullets: A love story is an old theme with a not so old twist. He's a vampire, she's a werewolf, and they just may fall in love...if they're not killed by a religious order first. Now who said love was easy?

Lucina Winters

Hello, my name is Lucina Ezri Winters, also known as EzriArt! I am a freelance cartoon artist of 6 years and counting. A lover of all things fantasy, I love to immerse myself into the world of cartoons, video games, anime, manga, and music. I love to draw personalized drawings for others, as well as create my own ideas for a possible comic or story. I also have many ideas for casual fashion that I hope one day to make something out of. I'm still feeling around for what I would like to do as a career, but for now, I focus on commissions/freelancing and personal development of my characters and stories. I hope one day to create something as awesome as the things that inspire me.
